Rev. Dr. Jerry L. AlexanderJERRY L. ALEXANDER, Ph.D., currently serves as Pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, Athens, Georgia. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Alexander received his Bachelor of Science at Alabama State University in his hometown. A Master of Education was earned from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. His theological studies began with a Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed the requirements for his doctorate and earned a Doctor of Ministry from the Columbia Theological Seminary. He is the founder of the Athens Coalition for Education (ACE), Athens, Georgia, a community empowerment organization, which focuses on education as a life long journey.
